Jenny asks…
Is the true market value the price people should expect to pay for a new car?
Hello, I am getting ready to buy a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and was wondering if the true market value is what I should be paying for the car? The car lists at $26,100 but the dealer said the price for me would be $24,716 (below the true market value of around $25,225). I’ve spoke with another car dealership and he give me deceitful lies telling me he never even heard of the true market value for a car and I was quite discusted because my car salesman said he would sell below the true market value. Is this what I should expect to pay for this new car with my trade in? The trade in is not worth much but i still don’t think I am getting that good of a deal since there aren’t any rebates on these particular cars right know. What do I need to do in order to get the best deal on this car and avoid lieing car salesman? Also, is there a place I can learn more about making a new car purchase. I’m sure I can find it but recommendations would help.
Thank you

Never pay what they are asking if they try to make you pay more than what you dictate get up and walk out. Don’t buy anything until you read this entire article.

Paul asks…
did i get a good deal buying is car?
I bought a new Hyundai accent 2011 GL this comes with ac, auto transmissions power windows, mirrors and doors locks
the price of the car is $15000 after tax i paid $17000 + 7 years warranty [they have a $3000 rebate to start with]
please note i had to push them to get this price the car was selling for $17782 tax included at the time
i know i could have saved a couple of thousands buying a used one but for a new car is this good?
plus i bought the car cash so no interest
i live in Quebec Canada if that makes any difference
insurance is 88$ a month with the total replacement i looked around i don’t think it can go lower than that

Yes, that is an excellent deal. You got a brand new car for below retail price, a 7 year warranty, and you don’t have to worry about car payments. Not to mention Hyundai has become one of the best car manufacturers in the world in recent years… I’d say you did pretty good

George asks…
2011 Ford Focus or 2011 Ford Fiesta?
I’m getting ready to buy a new car in the next couple of days. I read alot of good things about the Ford Fiesta and went to the dealership to test drive and buy it. However, once there, the dealer informed me of the huge rebates available on the Focus right now. Basically I can get either car for about $14,500. Which would you get if you could get either for the same price?
CSC101 Customer Service answers:
I’ve driven both cars and fully enjoyed them both.
They are both well built, reliable, well appointed, safe and fun.
It all boils down to your own personal preferences and needs.
Personally , I would choose the Focus over the Fiesta simply because the huge incentives make it a better deal at the moment.
The reason for the incentives is that the newly designed Focus will be coming out soon, and then .. Nobody will want the leftover ‘old’ design.
I’m not that vain and would rather have the “deal” now, than the latest design.
But that’s just my nature. I don’t judge peeps for wanting the latest in design and technology either. I’m just more frugal than them, but that doesn’t make them ‘bad’… Just different than me.
A good deal is whichever vehicle you personally like more than the other.
Enjoy your new Ford!
