What is the cheapest minivan I can get using the Cash for Clunkers?
I don’t really understand the whole process and I want to trade in my clunker (yes its qualified) towards a new minivan. My current van gets 18 mpg combined and I’m using the cash for clunkers program as an excuse to get a new car.

Yes, as of right now 9:36PM on 7/31/09 (Pacific Standard Time) Congress has extended the program with an additional 2 Billion dollars. The House will vote on extending the program next week so this interim extension may be shortlived.
I have done a lot of researc on vans and the Dodge Grand Caravan is by far the best deal out there right now. You get a $4,500 GOV voucher and Dodge will match it with another $4,500 for a total of $9,000!!! In addition, all of Dodge’s vehicles come with a LIFETIME powertrain warranty which currently is the best in the industry.
With these incentives you can get a base model Caravan for $15,000 plus tax and license. Great deal!!! Now run and go get one before it’s too late!

Can I trade in a wrecked truck for the cash for clunkers program?
I have a truck that qualifies for the cash for clunkers program. It has moderate front end damage. It still is drivable but looks bad and needs a lot of work. It will cost more to fix it than the truck is worth. Can I trade in a badly wrecked vehicle that still drives?
CSC101 Customer Service answers:
Yes, the truck doesnt even have to run to trade it in. The cars are being sold to china. And when they are sent to china the motors cannot run. So having cars that run just means more work for them.

Ruth asks…
Can business owned cars take advantage of cash for clunkers?
We have several Ford cargo vans and sprinters, a few are completely broken down. Can we take advantage of cash for clunkers, or do the vehicles need to be private owned.
CSC101 Customer Service answers:
They have to run. Just a little FYI the government is not holding to their end of the deal with the dealerships. A friend of mine is fighting a losing battle to get the money for $230,000 in rebates he gave in this deal!! Go figure. Guess Obama is having trouble making “change”!
