It will be just like cash for clunkers except, as far as I know, the appliance companies aren’t going bankrupt as we were lead to believe the auto companies were.

A few years ago, they were comparing how washer machines are built today compared to the 1960′s. They did indeed said that they were build better back then. However, that doesn’t come as surprise either.
